The moment at the AIT

Foo

This is a poem written by Bui Van Thinh, a senior guy in my class. During the period from 2002 to 2004, we were Master students at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in BKK, Thailand. Many of us were poor in English but we were trying our best to learn the language from other international friends. The English of the peom contains some grammatical errors, however, the content and the meaning of the poem are more important, telling us a good memory of the past.

It’s the time to say goodbye to you
The moments at AIT, I will never forget
Our class is friendly with so many languages
We are all for knowledge achievement.

Professor Ogun. is so kind in the risk management
Explain the difficult meanings in legal concepts
The more reading what saying in the FIDIC
The less we believe in our English skills.

Dr. Chotchai is a gentleman in Management field
Like a politician being teacher in the class
What he’s teaching on the construction project
Have led more students to project managers.

Dr. Hadi is the youngest of the three
Being both teacher and friend in the class
His simulation, 3D and 4D knowledges
Have attracted students as playing games.

All the knowledge we have learned
Being so useful for our future works
Being a vehicle with strong driving force
Our future is therefore brightly.

I express my thanks to the faculties
and to all school members and the staffs
My thanks are addressing to all the class
Never could I forget these moments.

AIT, 26 March 2004, Bui Van Thinh
